Renewable energy act 'good news' for green sector: trade group

The Taipei-based European Chamber of Commerce Taipei (ECCT) applauded Taiwan's recent passage of an act aimed at promoting renewable energy development, saying that it is good news for Taiwan's green energy industry.

The European trade group says in the latest edition of its bimonthly magazine Euro View that for many years the delay in passing Taiwan's renewable energy act has caused harm to the renewable and green energy industry and describes the passage of the act in mid-June as a significant milestone.
