Sep. 17--The economy's chill may leave at least one warm spot in consumers' hearts and pocketbooks for the winter heating season.
Natural gas prices fell last month to the lowest levels in seven years after an Energy Department report showed reserves of gas are at a record high for this time of year.
"It's good news for consumers," said Jonathan Cogan, an information specialist with the Energy Information Administration, a division of the U.S. Department of Energy.
